The Castle Hotel was established in 1853 and was the first inland hotel established in Western Australia. Now over 150 years old, the Castle Hotel is the only pub still operating in York WA. Like a majority of the other buildings in York, the Castle Hotel has maintained its heritage by not changing the building’s exterior. In fact, the hotel looks the same from the outside today as it did 150 years ago. However, as you would expect there are many things that have changed in this hotel since it’s establishment. We have upgraded the interior of the hotel whilst maintaining the beautiful charm and character of York’s historical culture.

Of course the technology has changed in the last 150 years too, so our guests can now stay in the air-conditioned comfort of our hotel and motel rooms. We have also upgraded many other facilities and now have a guest swimming pool and BBQ area available to all guests staying at the hotel. Not to mention the executive suite we have on offer with a spa for the more indulgent accommodation.

If you are looking to hold a function we have hosted many weddings and other private functions in the hotel and we have several different sized rooms available to suit any occasion, whatever it may be.

We also provide some of the best meals in town for our patrons, with foods ranging from wood-fired pizza to garlic prawns and even meals for the kids. To accompany these items you can choose from a great list of alcoholic beverages from our menus. For your convenience we have also extended our hotel to include a Thirsty Camel drive thru bottle shop, for which we always have a great variety of specials on offer.
